Tina Turner and her Bunsen Burner

Ah yes, good old Tina Turner and her Bunsen Burner. So today’s Tuesday, work was pretty good – the internet was actually working at work today, so we could actually do stuff :P That said, it looks like our pays have been delayed or something, and I’m stuck with me $14 for another day. I had to ask the real-estate for a rent extension [which they said was fine] and I’ve had an email from my ISP saying my credit card debit failed. Well, I wonder why – LOL. It could have something to do with the fact that there’s no money on it.
But what can ya do – nothing really; I’m waiting on $3K from work and a $2K cheque to clear; then I’ll be right :D All I can say is that I’m sick of eating cereal or tinned spaghetti for dinner… I’ve been doing that for almost a week now!! Getting sick of it… (today I was lucky; I found some money in the drawer and was able to buy some beef pieces for dinner, and I use the last of the pasta & frozen veg with it). Can’t wait to have money again – I tell ya!

In less depressing news, my contact at the radio station is happy with the sets he’s listened to, and if all goes well they’ll get some airplay smushed into their playlist amongst the other songs. I haven’t heard back since he said he liked what he had heard so far, so fingers crossed he (and his boss[s]) like the rest and then, hopefully, I start hearing some of my sets on the air. YaY! :D hehe.
Check out www.djandypanda.com for more information about this whole ‘thing’, or check out the Switch website at www.switcham.com. They’re currently broadcasting under a community license on the AM frequency – tune the ‘ol wireless to 1197, but you can also listen online in full stereo. W00t!! Click here to experience the orgasmic stereo listening pleasure that is, Switch online :P

In an update on my Sony story last entry, Microsoft has joined other security software vendors (such as Symantec – manufacturers of the Norton range of products) in recognising Sony’s ‘stealthy’ copy-protection software as spy ware, and will detect it in their “Microsoft AntiSpyware” (beta) product. Microsoft’s OneCare sites, as well as their ‘Malware Detection and Removal Tool’ will do the same. Good on them, and again – sucked in Sony.
That’s all for now folks. Be sure to watch Kylie’s Showgirl concert on TEN this Sunday night – it’s gonna be awesome; even better in widescreen & surround, thanks to the HDTV media centre PC *will be recording* :P It’ll be good when she’s feeling better and can come to AU to do the tour; but for now she can rest. I seriously don’t think her fans mind if she takes till early 2007 to tour (which is what the rumour mill is currently saying). She’s worth the wait. Fully!
To quote her, and close, ‘love to you all’ :)
