TERMINATOR!
Good afternoon all. Allow me to introduce myself – I am The Terminator! Not because I am muscly (I’m not), and not because I have a big gun (oh, no…
I don’t mean like that!) but because I have a Terminator Eye… otherwise known as T.E.
To be honest, I’m not sure when my T.E. started, but I think it was a day or two ago. My left eye (just like Arnie’s – how cool is that!) felt a bit sore
and maybe something is stuck inside (other than my eyeball, but you never can be too sure these days
)… and when I woke up this morning
it was even more sore, and all day at work it kinda went good again, sore again, good again, sore again (and so on).
So after my client left, I realise that I should probably go to the Chemist and do something about my Terminator Eye. When my client was
here, I actually had a bit of trouble focussing on the screen when I was using my audio-editing software, so I though right… that’s it! I’m
going to the Chemist. So I did, as soon as she left.
The lovely man with the lab-coat (from said Chemist) gave me some fluid to drop into my eye. I tried it just before and it was kind of weird.
I’ve never actually intentionally squirted anything into my eye before – ever. No wonder the Chemist in his lab-coat looked at me a bit oddly when
I asked him what I do with it. Apparently it kills bacteria and so forth so hopefully it will make my T.E. go away. Hopefully. On the other hand, if it
does not, I can always contact the guys on the Terminator 4 team and request a job as a T-1000
~
In non movie-related news, my boy came over last night. But he was feeling a bit down about something else, so I gave him hugs & kisses and he seemed
okay after that. We did his exercises and then went to the shops to get some ingredients for dinner – Mexican Chicken Bake. I cooked that while he played
a few games on the Xbox. We ate and watched a bit of a Dirty Jobs episode, before he had to go for his usual Monday-night walk. He returned an hour or
two later, and I was in bed, hehe. So he had a shower, and then climbed in to bed. It was nice, hehe
Sometime during the night, around 2am I think, I woke up to the sound / feeling of my boy rustling around on his side of the bed. I think he was looking for the blankie - he must have been cold. So I passed some more over to him and snuggled up close. I had actually grabbed the spare blanket a few hours before and used it for myself, so that way no-one would hog any sheets *giggles* (since there were 2 blankets now) but for some reason the one he had must’ve come unwrapped from him and he’d obviously gotten a little cold. Ah wells, all good.
The next morning I got up for work, and he played Pinata. I made him a coffee and I ate some Kellogg’s Crunchy Nut (I am sooo a Crunchy Nut) – I love that cereal
LOL. I packed my lunch, kissed him goodbye and went off to work. He ‘officially’ started his new job at 9am, and he said he’d had fun. YaY!
Well, that’s all for me now. I’m off to make a German dinner that I liked, called Linsen im Topf (translated: Lentils in Pot). Heh! It’s yummy, and quite healthy – it has heaps of vegies in it. My brother and his wife make it all the time, but they changed mum’s recipe slightly to give it some additional flavour – eg. sweet potatoes, instead of normal potatoes. Unfortunately hardly any shops stock Hans Wieners anymore, and my local didn’t have any big salami’s either, so I’m just gonna throw in some salami sticks & maybe put some diced beef in there too – not sure about that yet (haven’t decided
). Actually, I think it might be a bit of a disaster because I don’t have lentils (and neither did my local), so I’ve replaced them with a so-called ‘Soup mix’ (containing barley, lentils and some other lentil-type things, like split pee’s – whatever they are). So yes – no big salami, no wieners, no lentils. Hrm… this will be interesting.
Wish me luck on this one! Talk soon
