Podcasting has landed

PODCASTING has landed!
I have a new Podcast section. Only one there so far – but still, I hope you enjoy it! My ‘Podcasts’ page has a ChangeDetection link too, so you can get it to automatically email you when I update that page. Also, I renamed a major website folder this afternoon, so if you find any broken links or images, please let me know.

RSS has landed!
I’ve also added a number of RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds to my website. RSS is a system that gives you much more power over keeping-up-to-date with changes on my website. Think of RSS as a dynamic “table of contents” to my website, that I update whenever I change certain areas of this site. By ‘subscribing’ to one of my RSS feeds, you can easily view the list of content available at any time.
When you look at an RSS feed (by using your web browser – if it supports RSS, or an external RSS Reader application on your computer), you’re basically looking at the ‘table of contents’ to my website. Most feed-reader applications can also refresh the RSS feed every few minutes, hours or days – effectively allowing you to manage how often the program checks for updates to my websites. No longer do you have to visit your favourite pages on my website – just subscribe to my RSS feeds and get your feed reader to check for updates automatically!

To use RSS, your web browser will need to support RSS feed – Maxthon does, so does Firefox and a few others, or you download an external RSS-reader application like FeedReader. RSS feeds will also be very heavily integrated into the next version of Windows (Windows Vista) – due out in late 2006.

The rest…
This week was great. Work went soooo slow today though :( Tomorrow night mummy & I are off to Brandts’ parents’ big combined 50th birthday party – YaYaY! :) And then on Sunday it’s OptiMinds 2005!!
Be good :)
