Logo Lounge
Hewwo peoples; another quick-ish one today cause I have a bit of work to do for clients, so I’m heading into doing that next. I’ve been playing Age of Empires 3 a lot lately – so that’s been taking up some (too much?) of my time lately, heh. It’s an awesome game – but I like the graphics the most… it’s really, really good… especially the water effects; of which there is a lot of water, thanks to the many island games in the scenarios.
Those who remember reading my birthday “wish list” a few weeks back, will recall I was after two books called “LogoLounge 1″ and “LogoLounge 2″ (priced at $55 and $85 respectively). Buying them together here in Australia would be $140.00 (pricing from Dymocks.com.au). Now get this – I ordered them of Amazon.com last night, and the total – including shipping from the USA, is $90. That’s Australian dollars too. How good is that?!? I suppose it pays to shop around, even online, when buying books, CD’s and DVD’s.
Sure, I have to wait a week-and-a-bit to get them from Amazon.com (I’m informed that Amazon.com shipped them this morning, but they’ll take 7 – 11 days to get here by mail thanks to the Economy shipping I selected), but Dymocks said they had to order them in too – and who knows how long that would have been. So there ya go, buying of Amazon.com can be much cheaper… I saved $50 on an order containing just two books
I’ve been a busy boy this weekend – playing Age of Empires 3, cleaning the house, finished the PFLAG Brisbane newsletter for December, and making / updating websites. Speaking of websites, I’ve finally got my arse into gear and done a proper site for my DJ remixes – you can find the site at www.djandypanda.com. INH Volume 11 and 12 are on there. I hope you like them!
I also updated my portfolio – the Print & Publishing + Web Design & Development areas – so feel free to check those things out if you’re feeling really bored…
I suppose it’s good to spend time on these things every now and then, plus it keeps the to-do list down – I’ve gone from 31 items down to 18 – yay! hehe.
In even more news, I just met mum’s boyfriend – he’s great! He drives a 300ZX – except its tha new model, with a soft top and its a 3.something litre V6 convertible that goes from 0 – 100km/h in 5.6 seconds or something (I clearly don’t know much about cars, do I?). So yeah, more on that when I know why engines are measured in litres
haha.
That’s all for today – have a lovely day folks, be good, and I love ya’s all
