GG!

Morning all! Well, it’s actually Saturday afternoon, but it feels like morning because I haven’t exactly done much today – I woke up at about 9am, setup a few recently-downloaded movies on the Media Centre (they were: Wild Tigers I have known, Campfire, Whispering Moon (a German gay-themed sci-fi), Tan Lines, Cowboy Junction and Vacationland), went to the shops down the road and played some more Age of Mythology… which is still a fun, despite it being made a few years ago. And speaking of games, October is looking to be a rather expensive month because there are 3 great Xbox360 games coming out – and all 3 I’d like to buy

Firstly, we have Disney’s new game, called PURE – which is essentially a quad biking game. I’ve been playing the demo over and over for the last week – and although it’s just 1 track that you can play, I haven’t yet tired of it. The controls are great, and the crash system is great – you don’t have to wait ages for it to reset – just a second or so and you’re back on course (heh… see what I did there?). The second game is Lego Batman – which appears to be similar to Lego Star Wars, and Lego Indiana Jones… but with one big difference; it’s made buy a different studio. So it’ll be interesting to see how it compares to the others. The third one, is Viva Piñata 2, aka Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise.

All 3 look like great games, but I think the one I’m hanging out for the most, is PURE… I mean, check out the screenshot below. The graphics are neat-as, especially with the demo on the 28″ high definition LCD TV down in the bedroom

…so yeah! Nice. Oh, and there’s a trailer for it here. Now here’s something completely unrelated… last week, I was tidying up an “Employee Handbook” that my boss had written for all of the staff at work. It’s basically like 78 pages of who to call in an emergency, what to do if there’s a fire, what you can and can’t do at work, and so on. One particular paragraph under the Carers Leave section made me feel, well – I don’t know really – it just put a smile on my face, I guess – to think that my boss had written it. Here’s the paragraph in question…

Not bad eh? Hehe. Anyway, that’s about all for today really. Tonight we’re doing something a bit different for a change – instead of everyone coming here for the usual games & dinner thing, we’re gonna go to Edz place instead. Which should be nice! I think we’ll get the ferry there… or something like that (since we’ll be having drinkies)
