Full impulse powerbuns

Hello! Bit of a quick one tonight (seems to be the regular thing with this blog these days, hehe), cause I’m a bit tired from last night. I had another sensational weekend just gone – on Friday night I had a quiet one & made a few website updates (see post below). On Saturday I met up with the boys at the local cafe for brunch – which was delish, then we went to the Lifeline Bookfest and met up with some other friends.

All 6 of us were wandering around, and after about 3 hours I’d bought 10 or so cool cookbooks / computer games / computer books / novels etc. The bookfest is on for a few more days, so check it out – it’s definitely worth the entry free (which is free, LOL). Start at the “unpriced” section first, then go up to the other two (standard, then high quality) sections after that.

After that we had a nice afternoon tea at Denim cafe in Southbank. We walked around for a bit, then went to the awesome chocolate-infused-banana (see last few photos here) place to get some awesome ‘Nana’s, and then we went back to Denim to meet up with even more friends for dessert! We got home around 9 or so, played Daz’s Nintendo 64 (hehe!), watched some TV and went to bed around midnight-ish (can’t remember exactly).

The next morning we woke around 9, snuggled in bed for ages, then had some muesli for breakfast, played more Nintendo 64, and went to Westfield to have brunch at my brother’s cafe, which was really nice! I also bought a slow cooker! :D I haven’t yet been able to use said cooker – but will do so soon, once I have ingredients to put inside, hehe.

In other news, I’m becoming very addicted to Star Trek Voyager. I have my boy to thank for that… ;-) It’s soooo cool! And yes, I know it was made more than 10 years ago, but it’s sci-fi… and so far into the future that it doesn’t really age, so it’s all good.

And finally in site news, my cam system is up and running again.
You can check out my public “RoadCam” here 24/7. Ni nite!

  • A teen’s awesome story (true): “My 15 days at Burger King” – it’s long, but worth a read if you have 30 mins spare.

  • A computer that fits in a wall socket – awesome!!
  • HDTV is all about the highest definition possible… but hi-def also brings out ‘flaws’ in the way people look – especially with models and  “beautiful mega-stars”. Sure – these ‘flaws’ be fixed using computers in movies and so forth – but not live-to-air broadcasts (there’s no time if it’s live). This begs the question – will HDTV spell ‘the end of the close-up’?
