First update in ages

Hey people – first update in ages, I know… but I’ve been pretty busy / sick, so that’s my excuse… hehe! Now I just gotta try and remember what I’ve done over the last 20 days… haha. I will try not to type to much or go one too long, cause my arm is still sore from this morning’s blood test. Speaking of blood tests, when the lady finished pricking my arm, she gave me some Jelly Beans – yay! hehe, she was really nice!

OMG – someone wiped the footprints off the roof tiles in the ‘blood-stealing’ room… and I’m like “awww”, cause there was nothing to look at anymore, haha. I also had an x-ray later that day, and although the little bald Chinese man with the American accent was very friendly, he didn’t offer any jelly beans. Oh well :)

Anyway… just because I haven’t posted any entries on here doesn’t mean I’ve written them.
Here’s one I wrote a week or two ago:

Ello. Well this weekend was a good one… Friday at work was cool cause we did our usual Friday-arvo-BBQ thing with drinkies, and then in the arvo after work I kinda felt like some more drinkies, so I txt’d Brandt asking if he wanted to meet for a few. Instead, he invited me up to his offices to meet the lovely people he works with for their Friday-arvo drinks on their balcony above the city streets, and got the grand tour of their beautiful offices. Man, I thought our offices were nice, but go spend a few hours at a multi-billion dollar company’s offices and WOW!! :D

A little later, he invited me over to his place to continue drinkies, which was lovely of him. I got to see his awesome parents again, and of course his little sisters (who are so not little anymore! Man they’re growing up fast), his big sister and her partner Aaron. There was lots of drinking and singing to music at the top of our lungs, including some disco-lighting courtesy of Shannon’s car (indicator, indicator, brake-light, reverse… indicator, brake, brake… reverse… [repeat many times]) needless to say the caravan parked a few meters behind the car was flashing red, yellow and white thanks to Shannon’s hard work on the brake pedal, gearstick and indicators, to the tune of several Nickelback songs like Animal, and Next Contestant.

It felt like old times… was sooo good; kinda miss it though – you know… His twin sisters (I think they’re 10 now?) were 6 turning 7 when Brandt & I were dating all those years ago… but of course, they still remember me and they were so cute, gave me a hug and told me they loved me and said goodnight etc when they went to bed, hehe. It’s like a cool little extended family :D Brandt’s big sister is just fabulous, as is her partner Aaron… he’s into IT and computers too, it’s just awesome to be able to talk about random computer crap and stuff together… the whole family is incredibly close. They’re all so cool, and every moment / memory from that place is a happy one, so YaY! :)

The next day, Brandt drove me home and I decided to give my home a present (a carpet clean!), since it was the 2nd anniversary of me living there, hehe. I think it liked it, cause it smells all pretty now and the little marks around the place here and there are all gone, thanks to the carpet-cleanery man and his giant noisy machine that looks like R2-D2 (is that how you spell it?).

Later on that day, I voted and had a short nap from 4 – 6 (or so) in the arvo. Then I worked till 10pm, ordered Domino’s (again) and continued working till 1230 / 1am.

The next morning I woke up after a nice natural sleep-in (no sleeping pills required!), did some more work, went shopping in town then headed over to Iain & Joel’s apartment in Brisbane’ (current) tallest building for a birthday dinner they put on for me. We had a delicious vegetable soup, followed by a roast chicken with roast vegies then an awesome dessert Iain made… apple, cinnamon, brown sugar baked in the oven AND he had made home-made ice cream!! After dinner and chats, the three of us got into our boardies and went into the huge heater spa on level 7, and then we went into the Sauna for a while. Pics over in Misc Stuff.

After that, we got changed, watched some Little Britain, and had coffee / hot choc’s and biscuits, then I got a cab home. I was TXTing & MMSing Jon a lot… he’s really nice, but as I said in a previous blog he doesn’t want a relationship… bugger hey? Cause he’s all cute ‘n he’s very caring & nice to me too! You can’t win em all hey? :)

Okay, so that’s the blog from um… I think that was from around about the 12th of September I think? Something like that! So yeah, I put some pics up in Misc. Stuff of Jake F’s 21st Birthday Party, which was sooo good. And also some new Personal Photos & Members Photos as well. Back to Jake’s party… which was Saturday night. We ate at Garuva, drank a bit, then went to GPO for about an hour. Then the 6 remaining party animals, including my mum, all went to the Beat and danced from 10:30pm till at least 2am, stopping only for the drag show or two, cause the music they were playing was really, really good! Kudos to DJ’s Angie and Dan who were mixing it up on the wheels of steel that night.

And YaY, guess who came to the Beat at around 2am? Jon! :) We dance for a bit, chatted, drank and went home around 330am or so. We stopped off at KFC at ‘The Gabba on the way home but they only had a kids meal and some wings or something, so Jon got the kids meal, haha. It even came with a Rugrats DVD – LOL! He drove me home after that and stayed the night.

I think I started nodding off around 4:30am… but you know what really sucked? I had an event on that day (photos over in Misc. Stuff)… so I only got 3.5 hours sleep. Heh… wow, I’m surprised I lasted as long as I did on the Sunday considering how much sleep I hadn’t had! I was kinda looking forward to just sleeping in long on a Sunday morning with Jon next to me and such, but oh well… maybe some other time hey.

Jon came back over on Monday night… I recovered some documents & photos he thought he’d lost from his old laptop, then we went laptop shopping (he’s looking for a new one), bought some beer & vodka, got KFC for dinner and then chatted and watched “Die Another day” (thanks Dad for the complete James Bond DVD box set). I was actually quite surprised that Jon is a bit of a 007 fan… I sooo didn’t pick him to be one either… it’s cool that he is tho, cause we can quote lines from movies or talk about plot lines and we get what we’re on about (well, most of the time… I haven’t seen as many of the older Bonds as I think he has).

My achievement for the week though, has been drinking beer (of all things)! I’ve always had a dislike for beer – that disgusting strong yeasty taste… but Simon at work recommended I try Bees Neez (or however its spelt) – as it’s not at strong and infused with honey or something (apparently). It actually tasted quite nice. Jon had also purchased some Stella’s and Cooper’s Pale Ale, so I had a ‘Coopz too. I didn’t think it was s nice as Beez, but that’s prolly cause it was stronger tasting for me, and I’m not used to it yet :P So yeah, we had beer, watched 007 and ate some lollies that he had bought too. It was a really nice night actually, I enjoyed it. He went home around 1:30 / 2am or something. His next night off isn’t till Sunday though, and he might have to go to some family thing, so we’ll see… but hopefully he can come see me for a bit soonish.

Well, that’s all from me really. This is very rushed (so mind the typo’s and spelling errors) plus my arm hurts now, so I’m gonna go do a little bit of work and wait for my grocery delivery to arrive. Be good; love to you all :)
