Concert productions

Hrm… It seems I haven’t done one of these for quite some time, so I thought I’d better go ahead and write one. This time of year is always really, really busy and spare time, if any, is usually spent catching up on things – especially sleep.

I’ve got 3 big concert productions coming up this weekend, which I am doing FX lighting for. I have also been spending the past few nights recording the music for these concerts onto MiniDisc and naming them, checking them, and all that kinda thing. As well as the audio mixing and lighting for the concert productions, I’ve also just completed the dance studio’s web site, which you can visit at www.monikasunlimited.com.au.

A friend rings and tries to arrange something – I look at my diary and shake my head… booked out until mid-December. But I guess all of this extra work will help in making my bank account look a bit more healthier… it got kinda thin after Sydney – *giggles*.

I sooo miss going clubbing and out with friends to dinners and movies as often as I used to, but after December I’ll make it up to all of ‘yas. I promise.

So there’s concerts to do, web sites, friends to keep in touch with and all that kind of thing going on… plus my normal day job! Wow – sometimes I even amaze myself with some of the things a person can do in a day, and achieve in a lifetime.

But my friends are what help me through the day to day things – be they happy or sad. And I just wanna thank a really special friend, who’s always there to help me out with stuff, he’s there to talk to, there to turn to, and yeah… an all-round nice person who really deserves this special section in my thoughts / diary. So Michael, if you’re reading this, thanks heaps dude :) )

My little brother got his first job the other day… at Maccas ;-) But the great thing is, that he loves it there!! And whenever I come in and there aren’t many other customers, I’ll get a special 4-layer cheeseburger with that yummy yellow stuff they put on the Big Macs…. just for me *giggles*. Ever had a “three-quarter pounder with lettuce and beetroot” or something crazy like that???? hehehe. I know Maccas isn’t the healthiest food, but I guess once in a while I guess it don’t hurt too much. And I love visiting my ‘lil bro @ work. hehe. I used to have a 6-pack… rrrr…. I am so pissed off at myself for letting it turn into a 4-pack. LOL…. I suppose that’s what junk food does to you. But I still do 50+ pushups or more a night (I used to be only able to do 10!), and I have noticed a great difference in the two months I’ve been doing this, so I guess some things are going okay. I’ve given up on the sit-ups (the floor of my room is just too uncomfortable – LOL!), but might start again (due to popular demand? /me looks at the person[s] that have a crush on me; haha)… I’ll see how I go.

And I always make time for those special people in my life, you (of course), my work mates, family & friends. I’ve got a good friend from Sydney coming to stay here @ my house for a few weeks. I’m not sure if Keith has been to Brisbane before or not – I think just the Gold Coast. But we had a great time when I met him in Sydney, and I’ll make sure he has a great time when he’s up here in Brisbane. Now – depending on what your parents let you want on TV when you were little – you might interpret that as being kinky / rude… and maybe it is.. haha. Nah – you work it out for yourself. And on that note, dinner’s ready! Talk to you soon… thanks for reading :)
