74 emails in my ‘to do’ folder
Hello! A quick one today cause it’s late – but I promise I’ll write a tonne and do more updates soon. I have the next 10 (or something) days off, so I plan to catch-up on the work I have to do (74 emails in my ‘to do’ folder at the moment
, spend lots of time with my boyfriend and of course, post all the Christmas, Concert and other photos I have waiting to go up here, pending some spare time.
But for now, here’s a post I wrote the other night…
Hey Diary. Sorry I’ve been a bit quiet – been very busy. The weekend just gone was one of the best and busiest this year – 5 concerts all packed into one weekend. From noon on Friday till 10 or 11pm on Sunday, I pretty much lived at the theatre, on Coke, pizza and snickers bars. The shows, however, were a huge success for my clients, and also great for me – there weren’t any audio or visual problems and everything went really well. The sound was awesome, or so I heard… 2 subs in a venue that size sure makes for a good night of bass
Last night Daz come over – I wanted to cook for him again, so I did – hehe. This time it was Spaghetti Carbonara – he liked it, as did I. We watched Donnie Darko (I’m going to need to watch it a few more times, methinks) and some more Black Books eps after that. And can I just throw in here that I think he’s a very good kisser. I won’t say any more
hehe. You get the picture!
Tonight, Daz and I were invited to see Casino Royale with The Girls[TM] (their employer [a well known insurance company] had put on a bit of a screening as a Thank You gift to the employees, and each employee could bring a friend – which is where Daz and I come into it). The new Bond is played very, very well and we all thought the movie was fantastic… even if, for some of us, it was the first Bond movie we’d ever seen. Before the movie they previewed some of the new insurance ads the company did with the Bronco’s (who they sponsor) – they’re great! One is particularly funny, and has to do with re’boot’ing a computer – think footy boots. They’ll be on TV in a few months time, so then you’ll know what I’m on about.
After the movie, we had coffee and a bit of food at Southbank, then I walked into the city with Daz so he could get his train. I felt like getting a cab, but since he had some time to kill until his train arrived, I walked with him into town. I checked my mailbox and then got a cab from there. I quick hug goodbye and I was off home. The cabbie I had was very friendly.. he sounded… Turkish, i think? We were chatting about Christmas, his biggest-ever fare (a man from Dubai) and of course, James Bond. As you do!
And that’s about all for now. I’m very tired and although tomorrow’s the last day of work for the year, I’ll still put in a good effort and not show up to work completely zonked out from lack of sleep. That and it will take me sometime to actually get to sleep, given that my brain usually likes to replay moments with Daz out in slow-motion – from many camera angles… and possibly even in Dolby surround. Haha… Dah, now I’m craving his kisses.
Ni night
